Leading city financial group selects Block Solutions to design and deliver QoS Policy.

World leader in spread betting selects Cisco Specialised Partner to support enhancement of Unified Communications capability.
Block Solutions today announced that they have completed the design and delivery of an advanced Quality of Service (QoS) solution for a city-based finance group.
The customer required a QoS policy that would enable the provision of Unified Communications (UC) solutions (such as Voice over IP [VoIP] and IP Video Conferecing [IPVC]) to its users. Importantly, this was to be achieved without signigifcant investment in new equipment, and as much as possible over the exisiting network infrastructure.

"Our certified expertise in enterprise design, together with our delivery track record, gives customers confidence that critical projects in the UC arena will achieve all scope, budget and timescale requirements."
The new QoS policy needed to be in place to an aggressive deadline, due to interdependencies with other ICT projects. Block has successfully delivered the solution, allowing the customer to offer an ever-growing range of UC solutions to its internal user base, both now and in the future.
The solution will intitially cover the customer's European operations, with an option to extend the scope to include their Far East and Australasia operations.
